Trump Revokes Obama’s Ridiculous Claim that Climate Change is Nat’l Security Threat

On Monday, President Trump did something Barack Obama never did: he outlined his “America First” agenda, which happened to include pulling back the former president’s ridiculous claim that climate change is a national security threat.
Instead of focusing on saving us from Al Gore’s carbon emissions, Trump will focus on threats from Russia, China, and North Korea, according to The Hill.
Excerpts from the “America First” document read:
As missiles grow in numbers, types, and effectiveness, to include those with greater ranges, they are the most likely means for states like North Korea to use a nuclear weapon against the United States. North Korea is also pursuing chemical and biological weapons which could also be delivered by missile.
Remember: Obama said climate change was more of a threat than Kim Jong-un. Go figure. He also said global warming was responsible for creating ISIS. What a laughing stock.
The Trump administration outlined its energy policies by putting U.S. as the leading authority on such matters:
U.S. leadership is indispensable to countering an anti-growth energy agenda that is detrimental to U.S. economic and energy security interests. Given future global energy demand, much of the developing world will require fossil fuels, as well as other forms of energy, to power their economies and lift their people out of poverty. The United States will continue to advance an approach that balances energy security, economic development, and environmental protection. The United States will remain a global leader in reducing traditional pollution, as well as greenhouse gases, while expanding our economy. This is achievement, which can serve as a model to other countries, flows from innovation, technology breakthroughs, and energy efficiency gains, not from onerous regulation.
Also on China and Russia, the document stated:
They are determined to make economies less free and less fair, to grow their militaries, and to control information and data to repress their societies and expand their influence.
Russia uses information operations as part of its offensive cyber efforts to influence public opinion across the globe. Its influence campaigns blend covert intelligence operations and false online personas with state-funded media, third-party intermediaries, and paid social media users or “trolls.”
During his speech, Trump stated resolutely, “We will stand up for ourselves and we will stand up for our country like we have never stood up before.”
The document doubled down: “It should be clear that the United States will not cede sovereignty to those that claim authority over American citizens and are in conflict with our constitutional framework.”
