A horrible choice to make. RIP
I recently saw a video about a man who survived a suicide attempt by jumping off the Golden Gate Bridge. I think it’s a good watch for anyone who feels desperate enough to consider something so permanent.

That is so sad. May he RIP
When I was 18 I worked in the canteen of the Wernersville state hospital. There was a guy who tried to shoot his head off by putting the barrel in his mouth. He only had one eye, one ear, no nose and a small gaping hole for a mouth. He had to feed himself with a big plastic syringe with puree foods. It was so gross

Permanent solution to a temporary problem I used to believe this. Capt Greenwood had a permanent problem 9/11 related lung cancer that made his life unbearable. He wanted to rest and be at peace. Folks should have the choice to end their lives in such situations. There was nothing temporary about his problem What hs situation lacked was a permanent solution in his lifetime

Then again thats because i was an aux and my dealings with tje bosses was fairly limited. May he rest in peace and i hope his family finds peace.

161616 thank you! He was there before my time. I do remember a Lt that was there during that time that jumped off either the whitestone of throggs neck bridge. This was in 98 or 99 and it was a complete shock to everyone at the command. Very sad.

He fought long and hard, the pain most have been too much for him.
