The Bus Terminal is still open and FD, at least, are slowly leaving the scene, at about an hour after it happened. Civilian injuries seem to be minimal.
It may have gone off prematurely, and in a tunnel or hallway between the bus terminal and the subway.

And the bus terminal is closed, but was reported "opened" by another "usually reliable news source."

Cuomo the Paranoid just gave all the credit to the MTA police (a STATE agency) for handling the job, totally ignoring the NYPD and the PAPD! I guess he was wishing that it had happened at Grand Central, rather than the Bus Terminal.
With this jerk, Cuomo, even a terrorist attack has to have SOME redeeming political values, even if it's false.

I had to shut that idiot off becaise he was going into his usual tangent of "were new yorkers", "we are a resilient city", " we will not allow ourselves to be intimidated" yada yada yada. I cant stand listening to home. Thank God this was another amateur where the device detonated prematurely. We have been very lucky as of late here in Mew York. The chelsea bomber and the times square bomber ate two instances that come to mind where we were very lucky.

It seems that the working theory right now is that the perp was on his way to Times Square with his bombs, as per the recently reported "instructions" by ISIS via their in-house magazine.
DeBlasio continues to repeat the the political line on all this: "There are no credible threats on NYC at this time...." Please tell me what terror attack, here or anywhere in the world, where Ahmed took time out to call someone to say he was going to blow up or shoot up a place? There are none. They think the people today are as stupid as the people who were around during the Mad Bomber days (1950s), when he DID call in, not only a threat, but where exactly the bomb was. When deBlasio said that, I would have asked him, "What time did you get the 'credible threat' for this attack?"
The only redeeming thing out of all this is that the press and the politicians realize it's no use trying to protect the Muslims anymore, because the media, with the sources, find out anyway. And when that happens, the pols can't deny the "who" anymore.
In other words, Islamic Terrorism has now become real to these clowns.

I doubt the Port Authority Bus Terminal was the target, the subway and, specifically, that passageway between 7th and 8th Avenues was. The perp was walking east, towards the Times Square subway station. PABT is at 8th Ave.
That video is off the MTA security system. Someone (either within the security MTA network, or NYPD) pulled it up and leaked it -- or sold it -- to the press.
Times Square and 42/8 stations used to each be 2 man posts. There's also a task force station house at 42/8. Kind of a slap in the face that PAPD got to that location first. I wonder if former transit cop, the PC, is asking about that.
Fun fact: The last time a bomb was detonated inside the subway, it was also at 42/8. The perp was a cop, who had just been retired on a 9/11-PTSD-related psycho pension.
