Something has to be done and the ranchers in west Texas appreciate the fact that there are boots on the ground. Unless you have spent time in the Rio Grande area you will never understand how bad things are getting.
The more pressure the Border Patrol and Texas DPS and Rangers put on the illegal immigrants and drug cartels the more they move west toward the family owned ranch areas.
This is an all out invasion of the United States and the idiots in Washington have ignored it for years.
The Sheriff of Hidalgo County Texas (Border county) was sentenced this week for taking drug cartel money and bribes along with members of his staff.
It's getting much worse and it's coming across the border like Niagara Falls.
If there isn't a line drawn in the sand now then it will soon be at your door.
If the American people only knew of the horrific murders and violence that are occurring right across that border they would cringe.
If a country can't even protect it's own borders then it really isn't a country at all...

RIO GRANDE CITY - Mayor Ruben Villarreal welcomed the governor's decision to deploy the National Guard to the border.
The Rio Grande City mayor said the recent surge in illegal immigration is draining law enforcement resources in his city.
Villarreal said police often are tied up waiting for overwhelmed Border Patrol agents to pick people who have crossed illegally into the United States.
The immigration surge is keeping officers away from their regular patrols, the mayor said.
Villarreal said the National Guard was a great help to local law enforcement four years ago.
"When you have an influence, like the National Guard, they become a helping hand," Villarreal said.
Rio Grande City residents said they will feel safer once the National Guard arrives
