I remember watching them screw up the entire Branch Dividian "raid" and will never forget watching what appeared to be an extremely overweight black female in her pretty blue ATF tactical BDU's hiding behind a car blasting away with her sidearm without aiming or even looking at where her rounds might land. Now we have Fast & Furious and yet another major screw-up that goes to the top of the administration. I have no idea why we let these federal agencies grow so large to the point that every real local PD with real cops doing real law enforcement start kissing their ass for the hand outs like starving children waiting for the pat on the head from them. I am also getting tired of seeing all these agencies wearing patches with POLICE on their raid jackets. They are FEDERAL AGENTS and the public should know the difference.

I've worked with ATF on many ocassions and never had a problem with them. As far as the word "POLICE" on their raid jackets I have no problem at all. Look at these people walking around with jackets, inscribed, with.......Bail Agent........Bail Apprehension Unit........Fugitive Apprehension Unit etc. Most non-english speaking people understand the word POLICE.

They have some great guys and hard chargers.
Having said that we all know that most federal agencies have people making decisions that never EVER worked in the field and add in the problem of putting people in a job that they aren't actually capable of doing but they "passed the test".
Waco was a clusterfugg and most who aren't in denial know it.
Local law enforcement is always in tune to what is going on in their community.
