County S.O. is in pursuit with Dallas P.D. behind them.
Rolling through the Metroplex right now if you are near a tv and interested.

This took a frustrated citizen, in his pick up truck, to end this pursuit after over 2 hours.
I find it amazing that police officers today have to just convoy after a fleeing perp and take a tour of the area. Watching that on AFN here in Afghanistan, all of us retired cops were ready to get sick. What an embarrassment for law enforcement on national and international news. We know that the cops had to follow their procedures and all, and that is what is wrong these days, these procedures. I could never imagine chasing a 10-16 car through NYC for over 2 hours. What a different era of policing these days. I feel for those cops, for I know every one of them would have loved to have ended that convoy within the first ten minutes.
We really have handcuffed our cops America.......

The pick-up that pulled in front of him at the end was actually a local L/E unit. There is much more to the story and for the reason they didn't take him out earlier. The driver also advised the dispatcher via cell that he had a bomb ready to go off in his vehicle. The decision was made to let him get out of the Metroplex for safety reasons.
What you saw during the start was due to the fact that the Dallas PD will only stand back and not take out a fleeing vehicle from another jurisdiction. A similar pursuit occurred prior to this and many of the officers involved were written up for their actions.
Lots of departments involved and lots of wet concrete covered in clay and mud from recent floods. that stuff is like ice in some areas when it gets wet. Glad everyone made it home safe.
Damn rear left rim on that F-150 held up forever.

Thanks E
AFN did not report the rest of that story. We had no idea regarding the possible bomb inside the truck, and now this all makes sense now.
True, and thats the bottom line, they all made it home for another day! Amen.
