Reminds me of Washington Heights and Crown Heights back in the late 80's, early 90's. I remember one year they set a unmarked car on fire at the West Indian Day Parade which is just a Roving Riot. (same year as the Crown Height Riot, Daily News Strike) Such Fun!

Speaking of Washington Heights and burning cars, in that riot the van that I was driven up there in (along with 5 or 6 other guys and Capt. Terry Tunnock) was torched. The best part of the night was seeing FDNY scatter when the extra rounds that someone had in their helmet bag, started cooking off. ;D
