Yes, Happy New Year to all. NZ does see it first, but there's some little island country east of us who changed their time (officially) so they could be first. Bah! Imposters! The NZ family had a quiet new year's eve gathering with a couple neighbors and a few brown bottles, BBQ'd steak and salads. A far cry from the usual drink-til-you-puke-go-out-on-the-back-deck-empty-shotgun-in-the-air celebrations I was accustomed to. I can't say I miss them either. The morning of the 1st found me without a hangover. Nice way to start a new year.
