 RIP Brother December 05, 2008 CLARKSTOWN, N.Y. (AP) -- Authorities say an off-duty police officer has been killed when his car crashed into a New York Department of Transportation truck on the Palisades Interstate Parkway in Rockland County. State police identified the victim of the accident on Friday as Christopher Morelli of Newburgh, who was a detective with the New York Police Department. The truck driver was treated for minor injuries. The cause of the accident is under investigation. The accident snarled morning rush-hour traffic for miles
