Never thought I would see that again.
I was driving on the I-10 outside of Baton Rouge and had to look twice.

Still up around $3 where I live in NY Can anybody explain why when gas prices were going through the roof, stations raised their prices sometimes 2 or 3 times a day but now that they're dropping, prices are going down very slowly even though the cost of a barrel of oil has been halved? Is it just greed?

It's all giving me 70s flashbacks.
Those damn odd even days. thank the lord I wasnt quite old enough to have to pay for it when that went down but I remember sitting in the lines and people stealing gas from the local farmers supply tanks.

At the local BJs by me, regular unleaded posted at $2.90 (For members). Of course I filled up my tank and it cost less than $30. I can't remember the last time that happened.

Today, Friday, I paid $2.59 in Allendale, NJ. It's $2.61 in most places on Rt. 17.

NY has got those ridiculous and exorbitant state taxes on gas. Anytime I go down to NYC, on the way back I make sure to cut through Jersey and fill up. It's always 30, 40, 50 cents cheaper per gal. Makes me want to hook up one of these to my Toyota:
