Actually that is the Block Island Southeast Lighthouse. That picture shows the moving of the lighthouse in 1993. The lighthouse was moved 360 feet away from the its original location due to erosion bringing the adjacent cliff close to the structure. www.lighthouseratings.com/blockisland/

I remember seeing the same show too, which I ran across accidentally while channel surfing. I stopped to watch it because I had actually been on Block Island one week the previous summer and we visited the lighthouse at it's original spot.

That is the giant needle and button that is part of the info Kiosk in the New York City Garment district. Inside the kiosk the information desk is made to look like a spool of thread.
It is across the street from a Cafe Metro.
39th St. and 7th Ave There is also a statue of a person at a sewing machine nearby.
