Earlier this past week, Cuomo actually went on the air and said that the only alternative to complying with his orders is "death."
Strong words. But, apparently, a LOT of people in Manhattan must have missed it.
A trip down the West Side of Manhattan, with another trip up the FDR Dr. showed that MANY, MANY, people have decided to chance Cuomo's outlandish death threats and go out. And go out they did, and in large numbers.
The walkway and bicycle path along side the Hudson River was mobbed with people, walking, running, bike riding, or just hanging out taking in the view. A lot of them wore masks, but many of them didn't. And that path is no doubt less than six feet wide. So how did those walking in opposite directions maintain "social distancing"? Apparently, that wasn't really a worry, despite Cuomo's and deBlasio "warnings" and "threats" of enforcement.
Further down, at and past the Intrepid, the crowds were even thicker, with a lot more bike riders and many more walkers and runners, all the way down to Battery Park.
Further more, the park along side the East River was just as popular. The park area formally used as a baseball diamond (before Cuomo's order not to) in the south end was filled with people, some exercising by themselves, and some, shockingly, throwing frisbies, something Cuomo specifically said was unacceptable and outlawed (by him)!!!!!!
The streets further inland were busy, but, with nothing much to do with all the stores either closed, bordered up, and/or going out of business, it was more attractive to make their way to the "coast" where there were more people.
If the Democrats think that the people are going to put up with this crap as the weather gets even warmer (it was high in the 60s today in NYC), they better think again, and come up with another strategy to win the November election.
The Democrats' attempt of prolonging his nonsense until November just ain't gonna work.
I guess you could say that, today, despite Cuomo's BS......

People have thrived for thousands of years without harsh government lockdown. They have thrived despite diseases, invasions, catastrophes.
I think we have passed the point of how passive and sheepish the public will remain. The weather is warming up and they want to get back to living once again.
We might have a second wave, but if we wait until the fall, that Chinese virus is going to surge even stronger if we haven't reached herd immunity.

Apparently a lot of other people are taking advantage of the warm weather, and ignoring Cuomo and deBlasio.....

Like I told some SJW would asked me why I wasn't wearing a mask, "Sir, 18 years and 7 months ago I was standing less than 5 feet from the Administrator of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, Christie Todd Wittmen, when she addresses myself, my co-workers and the world when she announced that the air in and around the World Trade Center site was safe to breathe. We all found out later on that either Wittmen made a horrendous mistake or she lied to me and my co-workers. That was the last time I ever believed anything the government told me about anything that may affect my health.
The government are a bunch of lying POS who are responsible for the murder of too many of my co-workers. Oh yeah BTW, mind your own fucking business, asshole!'

It looks like CBS TV decided to get off their asses and collect some real news. Real News that may even affect sitting Democrats negatively.
OR...they read The Rant:
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) — Sunshine and warm temperatures brought out plenty of people all over the area Saturday, even as social distancing enforcement remains in effect.
New York City is essentially shut down, but at Central Park, it felt like a normal Saturday in the spring.
Except of course for all the face masks and coverings.
“It’s just a beautiful day out. People need to get out of the house and get some fresh air,” said Mark Silverman, of Manhattan.
After more than a month of quarantine and a stretch of rainy weather, all it took was a little sun and temperatures in the 60s to bring droves of people to parks across the city.
“It’s our first time to the park since this has happened,” said Jack Haines, of Manhattan.
The vast majority of people were wearing masks and maintaing social distance, but not everyone, CBS2’s Nick Caloway reports.
“You’ll notice that there’s plenty of spaces that it seems like there’s no problem at all, so it’s a little surprising,” Silverman said.
Some say the parks are a bit too crowded on warm days, making it difficult to stay six feet from others.
“I’ll probably have to adjust my running schedule a part, run either in the mornings or later at night to kind of avoid the crowds,” one runner named Sarah said.
Crowds also formed along the waterfront in Long Island City in Queens. Some were even playing team sports at Sunset Park in Brooklyn, against the orders of state and local leaders King Cuomo.
And at Long Beach, large groups of people were spotted at the beach, many not keeping that six-foot distance.
This despite the fact that the beach is closed.
In Central Park, the NYPD was seen patrolling to enforce the rules. Police did not issue any summonses or make any arrests Saturday related to social distancing.
“There has to be a sustainable way to do this. I think if we take it seriously and wear a mask and keep distance, I think there is a way to be out. I think it’s really important to be out,” Haines said.
But as the weather warms up and we get closer to summer, some (Democrats) worry that parks will only get more crowded (Because it would indicated that The People are telling the Democrats F.U.!)
As one person put it, New Yorkers will not stay cooped up forever.
