"Johnson, who specialized in social justice issues, had also worked since 1991 as a hearing officer for the Chicago Police Board. Interesting. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Married attorneys found stabbed to death at home in ritzy Chicago suburbBy Joshua Rhett MillerApril 16, 2020 | 9:59am | Updated
"A husband-and-wife pair of attorneys were found stabbed to death in their home in a ritzy Chicago suburb, officials said. Investigators found the bodies of Thomas E. Johnson, 69, and his wife, Leslie Ann Jones, 67, late Monday inside their Oak Park home, where evidence showed injuries to the Chicago law firm partners were not self-inflicted, Police Chief LaDon Reynolds said. A medical examiner determined late Wednesday that the couple died from “multiple sharp force injuries” and that both deaths were homicides, the Chicago Tribune reports. The finding was released as neighbors and loved ones gathered for a memorial for the pair in front of their home, the newspaper reports. Evidence found by investigators at the couple’s home indicated that they died under “suspicious circumstances,” Reynolds noted. “On behalf of the Oak Park Police Department, I want to offer our condolences to the family and friends of the two victims, both of whom are known in the community and beyond,” Reynolds said Tuesday in a video statement. There’s no evidence of an ongoing threat to the public, but additional police officers have been deployed to the area out of an abundance of caution, Reynolds said. Johnson and Jones, both of whom graduated from Harvard Law School, were partners at the law firm Johnson, Jones, Snelling, Gilbert & Davis in Chicago, where they were known as “exceptionally gifted lawyers,” partner Anne Davis told the Tribune. “Part of their gift was to keep it simple,” Davis told the newspaper. “Each of them could process complicated information with exceptional speed and agility, but they each had interests far beyond the law and each had a profound gift for friendship.” Johnson, who specialized in social justice issues, had also worked since 1991 as a hearing officer for the Chicago Police Board. In that role, he presided over a hearing last year for four cops accused of covering up a probe into the 2014 Laquan McDonald shooting, the Tribune reports. The officers ultimately were fired. nypost.com/2020/04/16/pair-of-prominent-attorneys-stabbed-to-death-inside-chicago-home/

At least they died doing what they loved to do. May we all be so lucky.

Not sure how to read that? Hitler died doing what he loved most, too.
I just hope the irony wasn't lost on them and it was a disenfranchised, oppressed, sub-human, that did them in.

Two bleeding heart liberal defenders of the savages got murdered, oh what a tragedy. Sounds like they got exactly what was coming to them for defending the part of society that for the last 150 years or so has been unable to assimilate into normal society and instead has become a chicken wing eating, colt .45 drinking, non working and non contributing sector of this country that seems hell bent on exterminating themselves and unfortunately many members of the working class along the way. Simple solution, fence them off, give them all the hi capacity firearms they want, all the drugs and alcohol they can stand and inside of 2-3 years it will be problem solved.

For those of you who may not be familiar with Chicagoland Oak Park is not a ritzy suburb. Once upon a time it was a nice place to live but.........guess who swarmed in and overran a good portion of Oak Park? Now this ritzy suburb is about a half step away from turning straight up ghetto. It shares a common border with the City of Chicago, Austin Blvd, and that is on the western end of one of the most violent, crime ridden areas of the city as the 11th and 15th police districts have coverage in that area. They were leaders in the social justice crowd and most likely lived among vibrant neighbors who contributed their many cultural assets to the community. Too bad, so sad.

Was never really ritzy, but the same occurred in the 69, and spreading to 63.

As an adult in the 60's I was familiar with Oak Park as being a mid-upscale community, and also witnessed the decline of the Chicago Austin neighborhood during the mid-late 60's and into the late 70's, becoming what exists today; one of Chicago's most violent and high crime areas. No doubt in my mind that the couple were killed by members of their eastern border Chicago neighbors, and equally certain that they were killed for their physical possessions and not their politics. Worked the south side 2nd District when yearly murder rates surpassed 800's and 900's and my tiny district would regularly win the ghoul pool for total numbers, as well as first and last of the year. I am no fan of the people I policed. I am also no fan of the politics embraced by the murdered couple, nor the fact that, he, in particular, was instrumental in four of Chicago's finest being fired. I understand the irony but in no way condone the savagery of their murders by the hands of whom I fought against for so many years. I am proud of the NYPD officers, and those of other jurisdictions, who have not shamed our profession by this outpouring of ugliness towards the murders of two humans whose politics, though not ours, do not rise to the level that they deserved to be slaughtered like animals/by animals. This thread has no soul. Rant out. Yeah Paladin, the sheer depravity and ultra violence is repulsive but these 2 and all their ilk vote for anti-American policies, like letting out prisoners early, no bail release practices. They vote for Commie DAs that let violent criminals go free on a whim and turn a 2 day assault trial into a 3 week marathon if the defendant is a COP who was just doing his job. These 2 dead old people represent the people who vote for protecting illegal aliens and are outraged if a criminally convicted illegal alien gets deported. So sorry if your upset that I can rest easy at night, and even enjoy a bit of COP HUMOR, when finally, two people that deserved get it because they pushed for everything that is wrong in this country, finally got it, and not some hard working redneck that understands the value of true American values. The values that made this the greatest country on the planet earth. Over and out, Central!!!

These two animals sat in their million dollar home while 4 cops that lost their jobs probably struggled to feed their families.
Rest in hell!

The investigation has been terminated. It is announced that the two victims died of the Wuhan Flu so the murder count will be reduced by two. Pres Trump is officially responsible for these deaths according to the DNC.
