Dr. Michael Pillsbury breaks it down effectively. The Chairman of the JCS doesnt believe what he is saying, but just parroting what ever the intel talking points are supposed to be. Ambiguous, uncertain, part of our own disinformation as well. Dont expect the truth from any government right now. They do not want any more unnecessary panic, or stock selloffs. Part of getting back to normal is putting the nation back to sleep again.
A while back I mentioned that the US will not admit to a bio release. That is tantamount to an act of war. President Trump does not want to be painted into a corner. The flexibility with trade deals, cooperation with NoKo, and peaceful navigation of the seas is at stake. I also said that everyone, including our allies, want this to go away as quickly as possible but they will use the power of trade with China to compel them to pay for their incompetence or willful acts.
Keep in mind that America does not want another conflict to erupt. Isis is on the cusp of resurgence while we are seeking ways to pull out of Iraq or at a least minimize our footprint in the middle east.
Watch for the omissions. Think forensically! Prosecute the facts on hand. The truth is worse than the lie.

But, he is just parroting that it was not man made or genetically altered.
We knew that this is what they are going to say. The United States will not call it a bioweapon. It will never admit genetic altering. They are trying to give China a way to save face for what they unleashed on the world. Too much hinges on additional trade agreements, and restarting essential national security manufacturing, mineral mining, and quality control within the sphere of US influence.
So they are going with what everyone in the world will happily accept, dismissing what chinese behavior has been pointing to in the very beginning. A genetic altered bio release, not bat soup. The propaganda is so thick, you will never see the truth in your lifetime. The world does not want an open war with China. So they will lay blame on an accident, laying the groundwork for lawsuits that will go nowhere. In 6 months, when the economy bounces back, everyone will want to go on with life as they once knew it. China fucked up royally. The west will need to pull investments out of China to ease the fears of its citizens. China holds trillions of western debt. China may quietly cancel a part of the debt as they know they cannot afford to lose control of their country by mass closures of western manufacturing.
Expect China to try to compete once again with deeper discounts on their labor. Will their population go for it? That is a seperate debate coming in the next year or so.

Bio weapons have certain markers. I have heard many scientists state this virus is mutating just like in nature. I believe the SARS virus mutated at least 20 times. All natural.
When someone completely rules out the most obvious cause as being impossible then there is no more debate.
I remember years ago the people who swore on God that Sept. 11, was caused by our own government. "Those weren't planes they were missiles", etc. I gave up trying to talk reason.
