$30K fine (chump change) and 250 hours Communist service (probably as a drama coach at Hollywood High School.)
What a fvcking joke.
Her attorneys already screaming for time served.
Disgusting.

What a BS sentence, and they are making it seem like she is being held accountable and paying for her crimes.
Money talks

Broom on the old rant had a great line to sum up instances like this- “justice is an abstract concept with no basis in reality.”
So true!

Wouldn't surprise me if she was cooperating in some way. She plead guilty right from the beginning.

I think the sentence was actually pretty strong. If this was an isolated case I could see this ACD. Her crime was much less serious than the others. They engaged in elaborate schemes, with faked photos and faked resumes and paid the organizer hundreds of thousands of dollars. This woman only paid $15,000 to help her kid do better on the SATs - with no guarantee of getting into any particular school.
For her to get any actual jail time is surprising. She's in her 50s with zero prior criminal history, her crime didnt directly harm anyone else and she did the crime for the wholesome purpose of helping her kid.
The Court and the feds were hard on her because they want to send a message to the others to plead guilty and get rid of these cases without the hassle of making the court hear virtually the same case over and over

Bottom line, she thought her daughter was too stupid to do well on the SAT. Real vote of confidence from mom!

True, her actions screwed over some probably deserving, white middle class schmuck. But he probably would have been screwed anyway, becuase he wasnt an undocumented immigrant, from a 'disadvantaged' family with a member in prison, black, a tri-gender freak, or dirt poor with an absent father and a cokehead mom.

Bottom line, she thought her daughter was too stupid to do well on the SAT. Real vote of confidence from mom! She was probably correct. Given the rocks-in-cranium of both Mommy and Daddy...this one probably couldn’t find her ass with 2 hands and a map. Really hope this other idiot and her skell Eye-Talian husband go down harder. I’m sure she won’t see another prisoner. Given the judges in California, the prison is probably going to be a suite at the Beverly Hills Hilton.

Correct, and IIRC she had her daughter's SAT doctored, most people call that cheating. As noted, while not the crime of the century the fine and prison sentence are completely inadequate, 30 grand to a Hollywood actress of her stature is nothing and the prison term should have been at least 30 days.

And maybe a $3M fine. That would make the point hit home.
But she probably is Michelle Obama’s besty on SoulCycle or Peleton so it’s all good.

So would the kid who died on the waiting list to USC.

Once again, this entire charade proves the hypocrisy of the Left, the privileged and the Hollywood mindset.

Once again, this entire charade proves the hypocrisy of the Left, the privileged and the Hollywood mindset. Let's see what happens with the Loughlin crew. They seem to have taken the cause célèbre mindset that many defendants take. And they think they are going to be able to wow the jury. We shall see how that works out for them...............

14 days for a felony. SMH. Ever before hear of a first time offender going to jail - for helping their kid cheat on an intelligence test? If she wasnt rich and famous, it would have been ACD, or not prosecuted at all.
