I don't think POTUS should hire anyone who had a television gig in their past for very powerful positions. Egos get in their way.

Bolton probably wanted to put a missile between the eyes of Trump's good buddy, North Korea's Kim Un, and Trump took offense.
I'm glad perennial hawk Bolton is gone. He was totally gung ho on invading Iraq and still says it was a good idea. He doesnt understand we cant afford to be the world's Wyatt Berry Stapp Earp anymore. (bet ya didnt know about those middle names, me either)
Trump gave Bolton a real cold kiss-off, if you look at the tweets. Looks like Trump has made yet another enemy.

So, in other words, more Trump-hate from you? His Presidency is not a continuation of the Apprentice. It is the most transformative administration in the last 30 years. Trump has personality flaws but that does not alter the fact that he is the greatest President in my lifetime. |

So, in other words, more Trump-hate from you? His Presidency is not a continuation of the Apprentice. It is the most transformative administration in the last 30 years. Trump has personality flaws but that does not alter the fact that he is the greatest President in my lifetime. No Terry just stating the obvious he fires or drives everyone out. How in the world can you have any stability to make policy changes that are going to stick so he can implement any of the changes that need to be made in the long term to have any effect. Although he thinks he can do it all by force of his personality he really cannot. He has no WH Chief of staff to filter people out of his office and set agenda for meetings. He has no homeland security to devise solid policies that will withstand court scrutiny. He hires National security advisers whose advice he does not need or want, he is on third SECDEF and the whole Taliban negotiation went south on him. The man cannot run the country by himself—and make needed changes that are going to stick for the long term. |

I’ve thought about the lines spoken by 8 year... If the President called on me to serve in his administration, I would serve my country. Period. That goes for any President...even Obama
Bolton wanted in from the get go. He is no Apprentice. He knew exactly how his career may end. He took his shot. Our President no longer trusted his counsel. End of story

Trump is a very unconventional type of politician.
His heart is for the entire country. His brain is groomed for business. His hobby is being an entertainer.
But he cannot continue to rely on only himself. He had a shot at giving peace a chance to extricate America from the Afghanistan. He lost. The Taliban continues to kill innocent ppl and Trump thinks they can broker an honest deal from them.
Trump needs to set loose the military and increase the body count until they have been wiped out. In order to do that, he needs solid trustworthy experts in national security. Trump hasn't been picking the right people. By his own apprentice standards, he has failed.
2020 is around the corner and Afghanistan could be the issue bigger than the economy that can blow his chances for a 2nd term. North Korea and Iran aren't too far behind either. Trump has to nail down his foreign policy and deliver those promises.

His problem, among others, is he thinks he can make a deal with everyone, but not everyone wants to make a deal.

He was right to fire him. That being said , he shouldn't have hired him. I find it interesting that some on this board love to point out and harp on all his mistakes but never talk about the amazing job he is doing in total.

I wasnt familiar with that Michael Savage but after listening to that podcast, I love him. Fox should give him a show. He's as good as Tucker.

But why would any COP listen to him after a remark like that?
As if that's not enough, he asserts Garner was "murdered" and Danny Pantaleo is a "thug COP".
So I ask again, what self respecting COP would listen to this asshole?

Michael Savage (stage name of Michael Weiner from Queens NY) is a born-again "conservative", who used to be in the employ of LSD guru and counter-culture influencer, Timothy Leary. Later on, he waxed eloquently about his good friends that he used to hang-out with in California, the "Beat" Poets, particularly radical communist and homosexual Allen Ginsberg.
There are plenty of people, who call themselves conservatives, who aren't pro-police. After all, police enforce state power and control and frequently are represented by evil unions and get horrible things like negotiated benefits and pensions.
I don't know if "Savage" is really a conservative. I do know he's made a lot of money playing one on talk radio.
