Whitney Houston. The best national anthem rendition during our country's biggest war since Vietnam. Just 10 days after the commencement of operation Desert Storm, she lifted our country from uncertainty and delivered a masterpiece for the ages. Sorry Robert Merrill and Jack Black, the 2nd and 3rd place spots are still available. Dusty, I totally agreed with you until this rendition..... Very very close 1st place. An impeccable rendition done with honor and respect. But I must say, Whitney did it so well, that she set the bar to which all others will be compared. And for that reason, Whitney is on top. Everyone else has to ratched up every ounce of talent, and then some. Lady Gaga certainly moved me with her vocals. |
