I doubt the Port Authority Bus Terminal was the target, the subway and, specifically, that passageway between 7th and 8th Avenues was. The perp was walking east, towards the Times Square subway station. PABT is at 8th Ave.
That video is off the MTA security system. Someone (either within the security MTA network, or NYPD) pulled it up and leaked it -- or sold it -- to the press.
Times Square and 42/8 stations used to each be 2 man posts. There's also a task force station house at 42/8. Kind of a slap in the face that PAPD got to that location first. I wonder if former transit cop, the PC, is asking about that.
Fun fact: The last time a bomb was detonated inside the subway, it was also at 42/8. The perp was a cop, who had just been retired on a 9/11-PTSD-related psycho pension.
