We've had Direct TV for over 10 years, we have our dish on the roof but I have seen other who have it in their yards, sticking on to the side of the house, even apartment. We have lost service maybe a handful of times, due to heavy rain or snow. (If you live in the north I recommend putting the dish somewhere you could reach to brush snow off of)
Verizon just hooked up my area with Fios, they are offering a deal, $79 for the first 6 months, ($99 for months 7 thru 24) triple play, which includes TV, high speed internet and phone service. You need to sign up for a one year contract, I am debating on whether or not to switch, right now I have DSL for my internet. Anyone have any feedback on FIOS? Is it worth switching?
