I Pray for Them

I served with them on foreign shores
I laughed with them
I cried with them
I talked about home with them
I learned about their families

In the end I saluted them
I watched them carried away in flag covered boxes
I prayed for them

Today I wonder about those who are crying for them
I wish their families knew
I cry for them

God bless them
