EV,
I'm thinking there's gonna be a couple of SS agents "retiring" in the immediate future.
I'm just going by what was shown on this video, but being in a hostile country the SS seemed to have dropped the ball here.
( If you think this should be moved to the LE only section I would agree)
I have done my share of close quarter protection over the years, and can agree that a press conference is a somewhat tough detail to diamond off or create a protective inner perimeter. But our SS seems to have been basically non-existant or at best asleep at the switch.
I can see the reporter getting one throw in. But this scvmbag got both shoes off and thrown with time to light up a cigarette afterward before the agents swarmed him. Some even came from behind a closed door behind the dais. This could have easily been a life-threatening situation. Not sure it wasn't a test run on our secret service; and if not I am sure this tape will be reviewed by our guys and more importantly by the enemy for future attacks.
Like I said, I wasn't there and am only critiquing from what I saw on the news, but if this were one of my jobs, I can guarantee you I would be out of work if I let this happen to a principal.
Agree/disagree?
