Attached is a dash cam video of a police shooting in Harlingen, TX. A RGV SBPA was close by and rendered aid until EMS arrived. The shooter, a local gang-banger and self-professed leader of the gang, drove from Harlingen after the shooting and tried to cross through the POE into Mexico. When he saw security was tightened he diverted and drove his car into the Rio Grande and escaped on foot into Mexico. He was captured later by Mexican police and TOT'ed to US officials. The officer did survive and is continuing therapy. He was in court the day the gang-banger plead guilty and was sentenced to life. For tactical/training purposes, notice the lag time (safety or jam?) from the first intention of the subject to use his weapon (how much time passed). Is that enough time for an officer to seek cover, draw and fire? Notice how quick the subject exited the vehicle with the long-arm. Notice his tactic of firing and advancing on the officer. Last thing, what was the dispatcher doing? www.clipshack.com/Clip.aspx?key=8B23A3AB9902BC5D
