It is with deep regret and sorrow that the Town of Blooming Grove Police Department announces the passing of Sergeant Matthew E. Kelly. Sgt. Kelly began his career as a uniformed member of the New York City Police Department serving from April 15, 1997 until April 10, 2001.

Sgt. Kelly was appointed Police Officer with the Blooming Grove Police Department on April 16, 2001 and was promoted to the rank of Sergeant on June 26, 2006.
