Zorro, good points however, if you read the origional post we report that we both were members of the NYPD Navy Association, but left because we felt it was not in the members interest, but rather in the interests of the leadership of the NYPD Navy Association and maintaining political ties with the upper level of NYPD management (couldn't use the word leadership here for obvious reasons) for reasons only known to those who are at the head of this association. As for the NYPD MC Association please read Bob Cohen's letter which is also posted, where he asked for anything from the MCA such as face time, in their newsletter etc. etc.etc. Here we were once again refused the time to make our pitch because supposedly they, the hierachry of the MC Association, were OVER LOADED with what remains to be made known. What we sought was to sell books to make a good and honorable donation to the Navy-Marine Corp Relief in the name of a US Marine who perished in Iraq. We thought it best for a time frame and for the amount of people we could reach if we asked permission to present these written works at the YEARLY gathering to honor the birthday of the US Navy and the US Marine Corps. But, we were REFUSED for the reasons we outlined in previous posts.
