I had no idea who she was until this was posted.
As far as living in the old neigborhoods, Hell I don't know.
I think Bville hit the nail on the head with her post regarding
the mentality of being a sell out or "too good".
I was in New Orleans during Katrina and Fats Domino home
was flooded and he came back to visit it. It was in one of the
worst areas even before the storm.
People will always envy someones popularity and wealth.
The spanish singer, Selena was killed by a family friend and
the head of her fan club.
And so it goes.
If you can afford it, pack up and get the hell out while the gettin
is good.
