Lindsay was so broke, that Giuliani took pity on him.
Lindsay had too little time as mayor, and no prior city time, and got no health benefits or pension rights when he left office....and no after-mayor job offers. So Giuliani had a local law passed giving certain former mayors (only Lindsay) health benefits.
In addition, Giuliani got Lindsay's wife a "job," sitting on the board of directors of the company which operated the parking lot concession at Orchard Beach.

DeBlasio is a crook. And thanks to all those suffering mental health problems in NYC, probably has a LOT of cash stashed away under his wife's name, with more on its way before he leaves office.
But, back to the original topic: what has Chicago Mayor Lightfoot have to say about all this?
