Brett Baier 's sources say the virus came from the lab.
But, he is just parroting that it was not man made or genetically altered.
We knew that this is what they are going to say. The United States will not call it a bioweapon. It will never admit genetic altering. They are trying to give China a way to save face for what they unleashed on the world. Too much hinges on additional trade agreements, and restarting essential national security manufacturing, mineral mining, and quality control within the sphere of US influence.
So they are going with what everyone in the world will happily accept, dismissing what chinese behavior has been pointing to in the very beginning. A genetic altered bio release, not bat soup. The propaganda is so thick, you will never see the truth in your lifetime. The world does not want an open war with China. So they will lay blame on an accident, laying the groundwork for lawsuits that will go nowhere. In 6 months, when the economy bounces back, everyone will want to go on with life as they once knew it. China fucked up royally. The west will need to pull investments out of China to ease the fears of its citizens. China holds trillions of western debt. China may quietly cancel a part of the debt as they know they cannot afford to lose control of their country by mass closures of western manufacturing.
Expect China to try to compete once again with deeper discounts on their labor. Will their population go for it? That is a seperate debate coming in the next year or so.
