To the "NO" voters: I understand where you're coming from and I respect your thoughts. I did my 4 years in the Navy and was proud of doing so. I fully understand the need for "chain of command" and secrecy. My question to you is this: do you think for one second that the Chinese didn't have the exact same problem on their ships? And in saying that, wouldn't it stand to reason that the US Navy was probably experiencing the same problem? I am sure the Chinese Navy is in bad shape but they don't have a Captain of a nuclear capital ship sending messages through unsecured channels letting the entire world know the problem. There were other ships in the US Navy that experienced the same problems. The captains of those ships did their job.
