NYC will survive, it always does. NYC pays my pension so why would I wish it's demise. If wall street and the stock exchange were to collapse it would send shock waves around the world. How many 401k's would collapse. NYC will be fine.
FOR THE LAST FIFTEEN YEARS THE EXCHANGE HAS BEEN THINKING OF MOVING EVERYTHING TO THE OTHER SIDE OF THE HUDSON. EVERYTHING CAN BE DONE OVER THERE A LOT CHEAPER THAN STAYING IN NYC. THE FLOOR OF THE EXCHANGE IS JUST THEATER, EVERY THING IS DONE ON WIRE'S. Understood. Yes, the exchange can move. I am more worried about my pension, that is paid for by the people of NYC. |
