For the past few years I have owed the IRS money after completing the yearly returns. Even though the money was transferred directly from my checking account to the IRS, they are depositing checks to those who had a direct deposit refund. I had to go here www.irs.gov/coronavirus/economic-impact-payments, to register my checking account to receive the check. I did this today. I got a message that stated Payment Status Not Available. I pay every year so the IRS does not have my bank account numbers for direct deposit. Went to the web site irs.gov/coronavirus/economic-impact-payments and I have been trying for the last 2 hours trying to enter the numbers for direct deposit. Can't get to the page that takes the numbers. Any help out there? |
