NYPD 22 Push Up Challenge for 22 Suicides

Yep that’s Muddy AKA Captain America, saving the world. The question of MOS Suicides is not something I’m going to make light of. I’m all for raising awareness but the 22 push-ups gimmick is not the answer to fix the problem.
The Navy has had a tragic spate of suicides as of late- 3 off the ship’s company of USS G H W Bush alone. And the Department of Veterans Affairs is also struggling with suicides. Some put the number at over 20 vets a day take their own lives.
I don’t know what the answer is. I do know that 18 years later, the military has no time to regroup, and they are dangerous stressed out. The NYPD has also been stressed. Cops are constantly under pressure- the public hates us, the brass hates us, the politicians hate us. Most of all, the MEDIA HATES US. Particular to the NYPD is lousy contracts that add financial stress, and the endless drive for fake numbers driven by compstat, and is anyone really surprised?
If Muddy really wanted to impress me, go to City Hall and go on the record as a 3 Star Chief to testify to the city council on what the stressors really are. Instead of taking photo op military tourism junkets to AFG, go fight a real war that needs to be won in City Hall.
