It appears to me that calling these Leftist "Socialists," is doing them a favor.
The more apt description would be, and will be from now on, "Stalinists."
Whereas Socialism is an economic "change" (takeover) of a country, Stalinism is a takeover of a country by use of FORCE and subversive actions, with the Stalinists "eliminating" their opposition "by any means necessary...," as the Black Panthers used to say, and as Uncle Joe himself did in post-WWII Russia.
