It's just that the injuries are usually much more severe to the rider.
If it's a new rider, things can get away from you but in this case it sounds like the Insp. wasn't at fault.
The cop was going straight and the truck turned into him.
When I took my 'Motorcycle Safety Course' before getting my license, the instructor specifically warned us to be on the lookout for people turning left into us because it happens all the time.
Not much of a contest between a bike and a dump truck.
I know. I try and I try but I just can't get motorcyclists to not whiteline, buzz my Sideview mirror on an empty road and do wheelies in traffic.
Look out for motorcycles, because God knows they aren't looking out for themselves.
